Ingredients

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup finely ground kunafa (kataifi pastry)
  • 5 tbsp pistachio butter
  • 1 tbsp regular butter

For the Pastry:

  • 6 sheets phyllo dough (filo), cut lengthwise into strips
  • 3 tbsp melted butter

For the Chocolate Coating:

  • 6 pieces dark chocolate
  • Crushed mixed nuts (pistachios, almonds, etc.) – as needed

Instructions

  1. In a pan, toast the ground kunafa with 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat until golden and fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the pistachio butter. Let the mixture cool completely.
  2. Cut the phyllo sheets lengthwise into strips. Brush each strip lightly with melted butter.
  3. Place a small amount of the pistachio-kunafa filling at one end of the phyllo strip and fold it into a triangle shape (like folding a samosa). Repeat with the remaining strips.
